Adds a boost of power to your burner so you can boil a pot of water faster or heat a pan up quickly to get ready for searing.

Regulate your cooking temperature

The AutoChef® setting automatically regulates the cooking temperature and adjusts it as needed, so you get perfect results without the work of adjusting the heat level.

Induction technology directly heats your pots and pans instead of the cooktop itself for faster cooking and precise results.

Operate your hood by your cooktop.

Allows you to manage the settings for both the cooktop and matching hood, directly from the cooktop itself. From your smart device you can program your hood to start the fan and lighting when turning on your cooktop.

Adjust the heat with just a simple slide.

Dishes like risotto require different heat settings at different stages. With PowerMove®'s 3 preset power levels, simply slide your pan across to change the heat level. Once activated by a push of a button, you no longer need to adjust the cooktop temperature: PowerMove® is divided into two separate areas with pre-set power levels. So you can quickly heat or sauté your dish on level 9 and then quickly slide the pan to level one to simmer or keep warm.

Buyer beware: This induction cooktop managed to chip the enamel off the base of my Le Creuset dutch oven, a favorite pot which has been used on a gas range for years. The energy that these induction cooktops produce is highly directional and even very good cookware will be subject to hot spots in cooking. You have to work to center the pot where the energy is delivered and be very careful. Also it produces a hum along sound when the energy is on. You may find it annoying while you are cooking. It's not quite the dream you may have had in mind for your thousands of dollars.

The learning curve is definately there. Once we got a feel for cooking settings and temperatures, it is great! We use the Auto-Chef fry pans and function as often as we can, and that works especially well. Set the temperature (#3 for scrambled eggs, for example) and the pan warms quickly then maintains the constant set temperature. The cooktop just makes cooking easier.

Cooktop so far has worked as designed. IT does seem as though the higher settings such as 8 or 9 are not close to the highest setting. The power seems substantially lower than expected, though I have grown accustomed to it. The most critical issue I have is that the power button is very hard to turn on. You have to press much harder than I would expect.

At the time of this writing, we've only had our cooktop for about a month, but overall we love it. It is quiet and quick and, we hope, energy efficient (haven't seen a bill with it yet). Installation was easy and it is simple and intuitive to use. We are still getting to know some of the advanced tools like Auto Chef and Flex Zone. One of our favorite features is very simple -- the count up timer! The only drawback is that we wanted a cooktop with the stainless trim and did not receive that one, probably due to a mixup with our appliance dealer. I'm nervous about the possibility of breaking the cooktop after hearing a horror story about a cooktop break from an acquaintance. It is also a challenge to keep it looking clean and not smeary.

Induction at its Best

Have only had this product a month with limited opportunities to utilize all of its unique features, but so far so good. Easy controls, creative cooking options (I especially like the Power Move function) and a great updated look for the kitchen...what's not to like. Looking forward to many more years of my new favorite pastime with friends, family and Bosch.

This induction cooktop is great. It took me a few times to get use to induction but once you do it is fabulous. Water for my tea in the morning is done in about 1 min. It sautes meat, chicken, shrimp and fish perfectly. After the food is cooked if you need to "hold" the dish the warm setting holds it perfectly untill the rest of the dinner is done. Cleaning the cook top is a dream. Not like the other glass electric cooktops. Just take a soapy dish rag wipe it down. I do use a cooktop cleaning spray and the Bosch e-cloth. It shines like new.
